No soul has authority over another. Guidance and straying is a matter between God and you.

aakwrAllahwbHu

Father of the winged one
And (of) the hand of God
He took under his care the Messenger
Who preached in the name of his Lord

His blessed wife a mother to the Prophet was
Her blessed name the Radiant One would share
The Prophet having shrouded her in his own raiment
Lay down in her crypt and laid his reverence bare

When his young son he saw
Offering prayers with the Prophet at the cave
He enjoined on him the Prophet's way
And to Islam he its most famous warrior gave

They tempted him to adopt a youth of theirs
In lieu of the one who seeds of faith had sown
He scorned their impiety and unbridled hate
Which asked to rear another and slaughter his own

They warned him of a painful inglorious end
And the Prophet's well-being was all he ever sought
But his beloved's determination added to his own
And till his dying breath he defended and fought

He was the rock on which the Chosen One
The foundations of humanity did recreate
The Prophet himself the City Of Knowledge
Proclaimed his son to knowledge the gate

The Prophet found with him and the Great One
When all around were hostilities unmasked
Care, tenderness and love unbound
Without being sought and before being asked

They compare him to the two Pharaohs who vainly waxed
Of one who all but the blood of Moses shed
They revile the hands which embraced the Prophet
And to the believers only loving kindness fed

The faithless Quraysh in reckless hate
Followers of the Praised One did torment
Through him the weak found refuge and succor
And to his quarter were the believers sent

Time knows him as the benefactor without match
Loved by the Prophet and the believing clan
From the Prophet's childhood to his own death
He served the Prophet ever mindful of God's plan

Respected and exalted was this chief of Quraysh
Who sacrificed his all in the way of The King
Pleasant is his recompense on the mighty day
When the gates of Paradise his name will sing

I hope readers will look beyond my poor attempt at poetry, and behold a glimpse of the man himself.

Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil aalameen.

there is no god except Allah, the All-Mighty, the Forbearing; there is no god except Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne;
there is no god except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth and Lord of the noble Throne.
