http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

saw this video quiet a while ago
although this video have been exposed many times still many Atheist post it on nearly every forum

Horus did have a father his name was Osiris, he was murdered by Set and Horus took the revenge of his father's death
Horus is actually known as the sky not the sun, the Sun and the Moon was his eyes, he became Harmerty Horus of two eyes.

my mother is from India and i have been there many times, so like many Indians i am aware of Krishna story, he was the eighth son of Devaki, his father was Vasudeva.
She was not a virgin and i am pretty sure
i have no idea about the other guys but i am pretty sure this is a hoax

Jesus birthday is not mentioned anywhere in the bible, no one knows his birthday
Des 25th became his birthday well after his death or resurrection what ever
it is confirmed that to attract Europeans Paul agreed to make changes in Christianity, 25th was celebrated in Rome as the celebration of the Sun God, but that was well after Jesus

Moses in no star this documentarycleary shows that he exists
EXODUS DECODED
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7...h&plindex=0

this documentry not only proofs that moses exists but also gives the scientific ways to proof the miracles

There is no conclusive scientific proof that there were "miracles". Nothing proves he parted an entire sea or anything of the like. Just some written accounts.

Credible sources?

Credible sources for what? about the documentary
if you haven't seen the the movie then please don't comment if you do then what can i say
The Documentary was aired on The History Channel
go and search for exodus coded
you will find the sources by yourself

and about those just written account
they are not just any regular accounts
Egyptian wrote them in a carved stone which is easily more then fifteen hundred year old BC date back to the time of moses
Moses(PBUH) was called King of the Desert the name was first used by the Pharaoh to mock him
Israelites were called the evil people they were described as slaves who left Egypt with Moses
The most important thing the miracles were mentioned
from snow storm to departing of the sea

you pretty much ignored every other things i mentioned
good

I wasn't ignoring anything, if you looked at my post you would see I'm talking about your claims of scientific proof.

And you still haven't shown any sources for that.

Yes, still written accounts. Whether in stone or paper or anything. That's all the evidence there is that one man magically parted a sea and other miracles.

dude the scientific evidence is in the documentary
have you seen the whole movie

Luckily this site has already seen Zeitgeist debunked in part (by myself). Our dear atheist friend Paranoia21 actually ran off without responding to my criticisms.

Look forward to discussing things with you PureMusulman, it's been too long since I've conversed with Muslims smile.gif

Jacobovici never proves that Moses caused them and subsequently that they were miracles. Just that maybe some similar events occured and that was what people thought of as the "miracles".

Who did it is the question he already answered
Moses did it, it is carved on a stone(which i mentioned earlier) the whole story of exdus by egyptians who were at the receiving end
you tell me why will the egyptians write this down if these events never happend
Jacob mentioned these similar types of events took place in Africa the lake turned red many people died because of gas animal like frog came to mass
and the archaeologist found mass grave of bodies all of them were men in Egypt
these events took place he tried to gave scientific explantion that it is possible
and about him proving the miracles, then that was not the point of this movie the point was to explain the miracles scientifically and find out if they really happened

I never said they didn't happen, I said there is no proof that MOSES himself caused the events. If he never caused them, then they are not "miracles". Just some similar events.

well the carved stone says Moses and his God did it
it also mentions One God which is rear in Ancient Egypt writings actually non existence
that is enough for me to believe in the story of Exodus
its a miracle because of its timing

A carved stone says he did it so it must be true...you don't even know the person that carved it. But to each his own, if you believe in what carved stones from ancient times say then more power to you.

that stone is reliable because
from Egypt
most probably written by Egyptians
dates back to 1500BC time of Moses
Named the Pharaoh of that time
Ahmose he died in his 30s
his status is unknown because the DNA of the body in his tomb doesn't match with his father or son
Ahmose son died young his mummy is there in the Cairo museum

QUOTE(chailvr @ Feb 7 2008, 12:11 AM) *
A miracle is most commonly defined as a supernatural act or an event that is a manifestation of a "god"s power. The events would beyond doubt become more than just random calamities if they can be proven that Moses did them with supernatural power.

i agree
but i don't have a problem if they can be explained scientifically
most important thing is the timing of these events

I agree that the events happened but I would never say that the stone is reliable in confirming that Moses himself did it.

dude it was done by the egyptians not jewish people
they potrayed Moses as the bad guy of the story
the most important thing of all they have not declared it as a forgery
the stone dates back to the time of Moses what more do you want

thats the best i can come up with
it's up to you to believe it

May Allah Guide you

They could just be random events. Luck. People chose to thank a supernatural being for it because it seemed so lucky. That's one alternative it could be.

Add a little of exaggeration and you have a story.

isn't that a bit too random like departing of the sea into two so the israelites could pass
by the way this story is there in the egyptian version as well

The pharaoh probably had the same thing in his mind these are just random events until he got drowned

i thought you said miracles are not scientific, if i prove them through science then they will not be a miracle according to you since they can be proved scientifically
so the only way i can convince you is to show eyewitness accounts which i did the stone carved by Egyptians, but you just simply rejected them
so its impossible for me to prove these event as facts if i follow your rules
the truth is you don't want to believe in this stuff
so how can i prove these event as facts to you if you are not an open minded person

WRT Moses and the parting of the Red Sea, there was a documentary on National Geographic a while ago that showed that a volcano erupted at the time that Moses was travelling. It was somewhere in south Greece or Italy I think. This would account for the "pillar of smoke by day and pillar of fire by night". The geography of the area and the time frame of his voyage suggest that he was at the "Reed Sea" not the Red Sea and the Reed Sea was (is - I'm not sure if it still exists) very shallow. It is likely that the material from the volcano would have caused a Tsunami-like wave that would have had the same effect as the one in Indonesia in 2004, where the sea went out a long way, leaving dry sand for a wide distance, before rushing back in with force.
