Casts.., dont understand them Options

hey Assalamu alaikum (Peace be upon you) people

riight does any one know why casts are such a big thing? me and shaz were talking the other day on the live chat and we got the cast bit lol and i found out i was a chachi pataan. You know round my area your cast is a big thing i just dont get it whats the big idea?! and i was talking to my mum and i was like if am i chachi pataan then why do you say we are Mughal aswell? she goes some people have two titles one is were you live around so for me thats attock making me chachi and another is sort of the 'tribe' you cam from and for me thats Mughal BUT dont get it anyway why is it such a big thing? its so big here that like 2 years a go there was a sort of likal war between punjabi and pataan and people were run over and one guy was paralayzed and everything ..any one got the answer? lol

omg, we come from the Mughal tribe aswell but we're not chachi-pataan. Actually, you're really meant to go by your tribe cuz various types of casts can be found in a single tribe... i think you also need to recognise what your cast is but why create a war out of it?! what if a punjabi is also from the Mughal tribe but only a different cast- what's the logic behind going against each other cuz of cast while the tribe might be the same? I think it's discrimination really- different casts challenging each other, punjabis sticking with punjabis and pataans sticking with pataans... but i dont like that sort of attitude, my crew would always be mixed.

Ah, I'm glad to be white in this case. I understand the reasoning behind it, but we don't have to deal with it unless your family is really extremist. Even then it's not like "oh, you can only marry people from the Rhineland", it's "Marry a good German girl!" There are lots of types of Germanics and other white people (Slavs have so many types I can't keep track between the different types of Yugoslavs [literally "South Slav"] vs. Northern Slavs). I mean, I know there's the cultural roots from Hinduism waaaaaay far back (i.e. pre-Turk invasion), but c'mon. F'serious. I guess I sound like an ignorant westerner when I say I understand why it came to be, but not why it continues. Sorry, guys.

the whole cast thing take us back fro the very beginning of when pakistan was made or invented... cast is like ur family tree most pple dont wnat their children to marry outside the cast it runs off the family so far as i know the main are

Chowdry/jatt- land owners
Kasvir- the low classwhom use to do low thing
But cast is not in islam so i dnt believe in in
