Alhamdulliulah muslims are not behind anyone smile.gif . I was too glad to see this website. We muslims should have our Quran , Hadith , and Prophet's prayers with us at all times and AllahuAkbar someone's made these for our mobiles. Truly brings a smile when i open these applications on my mobile phone. May Allah give them jaza for their efforts.

AssalamuAlaikum,

Regarding carrying the mobile when in toilet, they have, as I believe, a very good reply to this, please read:

Nevertheless, the Arabic IS on your phone physically in form of 0 and 1.

Internet is different, as it isn't actually on your phone.

You shouldnt sell Islam to people more than what it cost you to make. Thats scamming the Ulema, unless you are using the money to build knowledge and for Non-Profit purposes like charity.

Brother, I am a computer programmer, and I created the Quran for Joomla, but never would i imagine selling it. It would hurt my morals. But its your choice. Your money.

Dun ask me bro , i just enjoy there online services and free versions. I just feel they're very unique and if every other nation is moving ahead in terms of technology then y not us muslims. I am convinced of there explanation of carrying it in the toilet. but then again i'm not a computer engineer. And i dun mind them selling these softwares .. if we can give money to a video/game shop then y zip up our pockets to give THEM something. I believe a latest Wii/Nintendo/PSP game costs 30 to 40 pounds. Thats double and triple the price of their softwares.
Anyways i've just mailed them this link and requested them to reply to us here ... let wait and see smile.gif

sl.gif,

JazaakAllahu khair brothers for promoting our services, may Allah (swt) Reward you all in this life and the Hereafter.

Regarding carrying the Qur'an in your mobiles, please refer to the FAQ entry a brother already has qouted above. Just as the Qur'an is *untangibly* represented as 0s and 1s in a mobile/computer/harddrive, so are words *untangibly* present in a Hafizz's mind. If the 'untangibility' of the words can arguably be desribed as physical 1s and 0s in a machine, they can also be described physical for a person's brain (please refer to the study of neurology in order understand how our brain 'remembers' things - we too have electronic signals carried between brain cells). Just as a person can carry his brain to the toilet (provided he is not reciting the Qur'an he has memorized in his mind) or does not have something tangible related the the Pure and Beautiful Words of Allah (swt), so can a person carry a mobile into the toilet provided that the Qur'an program and the screen is switched off and the person is not reciting or reading the Qur'an at that time. The Qur'an stored in a mobile is analogous to the Qur'an memorized by a Hafiz. These are merely storage mediums.

Regarding selling the applications, brother first of all we should make clear that there is nothing haram is selling applications containing Islamic Knowledge. Yes of course if we are to do it for free, the better since more get to use it. For this reason all our applications and services online are for free, however we ask for a small price for the Professional versions of the softwares (which merely have more features and more hard work put into) to ensure that we invest and produce more quality products plus be able to maintain them. Most companies working for a similar cause either charge too much or are run by sponsorships and donations. We on the other hand do not ask for donations nor do we accept them. Our policy is strictly halal earnings on what we product and inshAllah investing that money in the further development of quality products this ummah is yet to see and be able to help our brothers and sisters in need inshAllahu Ta'ala.

We believe inshAllah Guided Ways will set a mark in Islamic products, mainly for mobiles, hand held devices and other operating systems that have by now unfortunately not been focused by fellow developers.

We hope this clarification would suffice inshAllah. We pray that Allah (swt) provides us with wisdom, stronger faith and stronger imaan to do be able to do more for our brothers and sisters.

BarakAllahu fikum,

I still dont believe you should make profit off the Prophet.

I do agree that you should sell things to keep investments in time going, but i think that all economic profits should go to charity, and the the workers should be paid regular salaries. Nevertheless, I do see how you say it is halal. I'm cool. it just not how i run my business. nothing wrong with differences.

sl.gif,

Brother you've correctly pointed out that the wokers should be paid regular salaries - that's what the money we earn is used for smile.gif Salaries, charity and investment into future projects and ideas.

Basically brother there's nothing free in this world. If everything we did was absolutely free, we would either soon run out of resources without someone sponsoring us or the quality of work would suffer. A company printing the Qur'an no doubt earns a bit of profit which 1) is halal, 2) gives the company an opportunity to improve their services by investing it into future ventures.

Khair inshAllah we hope you continue to make good use of our services. May dua for us inshAllah. May Allah (swt) Guide us all to the straight path.
