Here is the break down on why there are advertisements now.
  • Muslim Online runs on the Mosque-Online.com server for free.
  • Mosque Online is a site that provides free websites for mosques all around the world.
  • Because of this, they have huge server bills not covered by donations or anything.
  • Therefore, to support the server and help more mosques around the world get free websites, Mo will have ads.
  • Don't worry, no one is profiting from them smile.gif . My rule of thumb is "never profit off the Prophet".

The ones in the arcade are games based. So they shouldn't be all that bad.

Maybe an old shirt is just what it takes to make a person look twice at the site!! I like the new arrangements although the Ads could use a change...seeing that Muslims do not "date", maybe just a marital ad that does not announce dating!!

Ads on clothing, a marital ad that does not include dating, halal lists, etc??? Just a thought!!

Ads are not controlled by us but by Google and Mosque Online. The ads are targeted based on keywords on the site, and there really isn't anything but those kinds of ads available when it comes to Muslim sites.

I know we can't control the ads but i clicked one today

It took me to this site: http://i-slam-islam.com/

"Compared to Jesus, Mohammad is just a bleak counterfeit". - One of the many disturbing quotes i came across.

That site is pretty worrying

You click on them?  I just ignore them, but I see your point.  Will open the debates more (maybe)

Debating this issue is a good idea, especially when we have forum rules in regards to badmouthing, ones religion, and Prophet...hmmmm!

If we advertise their propaganda, what is that saying about us? Do we want their freebies or are we standing firm on "NO SLANDERING ISLAM OR THE PROPHET"!

The ads may seem harmless, but... it is whats behind them that also worries me!!
