Short answer is yes. Think of midwest towns that have no cultural experience other than their own or outsiders. The heartland is filled with people like this that live in "a bubble"if you will. Of course the coastal areas have alot of foreigners naturally so they aren't so biased, knowingly or unknowingly since they have had more experience with other philosophies, customs, etc.

Islam and America can never truly coexist- however we can try as hard as we can to give them Da'wah and make them realize how Islaam fills the gaps that their hedonistic culture leaves.

Its the mental like this why they can't. The united states has a rule. Seperatation of church and state. So every religion within the walls of America has to coexist with america.

eh.gif How does Separation of Church and State make Religion coexist with America...

It Obviously Doesn't Stop The Evangelical, Christian Zionist and other Various Lobbyist Groups from making their Global Opinions, America's Opinion.

I need to go out more??? Actually I think it's YOU that needs to go out more.

Americans in general have a poor view of Islaam, but not necessarily of Muslims. I'm not talking about Muslims. I'm talking about Islaam- the Deen that I will follow my entire life, Insha'Allaah.

Our Masjid was bombed a few years ago- so were several others. Alhamdulillah the attacks failed for the most part. Now I go to a different Masjid- for obvious reasons. And no, nobody said anything. Even the local police were reluctant to provide security for us in Denver.

Oh, and as far as California, I have been then quite a bit (We have good Muslim friends there), and the Ummah is in small communities, scattered around quite a bit. People don't have the chance to interact with Islaam and Muslimeen as much as people in Colorado, Texas, and other regions of USA. Although some Americans are tolerant of Islaam- most are not. The only people I know who are truly tolerant and respectful of Islaam are the non-Muslims in my family.

Well-said, Al Din. Allah yubarik 'alayk.

Yes, yes and yes!!!

There are area's in America where anything goes, all people get along "for the most part" and diversity creates unity. On the flipside, back in 1999 when I was in Army basic training..there was a guy in my bootcamp from wyoming whom had never seen a person in his entire life that was not white in the flesh. Sure he had seen other races on television but never in person...I found that to be very wierd. Just goes to show that alot of Americans live in a bubble and can be pig headed and steriotypical because they never experienced anything besides their own simple small towns.
