Why do people listen to scholars? We need the Quran and Sunnah to guide us properly, no?...
So many different scholars, saying soo many different things. wacko.gif
Human beings aren't perfect, but the Quran is smile.gif
Can we get sources from the Quran and show the scholars who's the boss?

Hey JJ
u r right tattoos are HOT! Lool
and all the things you mentioned r allowed.. BUT, you'll have to cover them up!
It'll be hard to cover the nose piercing lool.. unless you live in Saudi heehehe

y scholars? Good question JJ.. so let me tell you why...

there are many shiks and scholars, but the ones that we follow are chosen based on very specific criteria, and we call them “marjea”. I'm not sure how many we have, but I'm pretty sure we have around 20 or something. I'm sure of only 7 biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
you'll have to chose one of the “majeas” and follow him in everything.. it's not like you follow whatever u like from each.. no you choose one and stick to his answers.. when he dies it's a different story..
the most popular two are Sayad Sistani, and that's his site: www.sistani.org
and Sayad Khamnei, and that's his site: leader.ir

ok, back to your question of y we choose them. Ok their job is to interpret and explain what's their in Quran and Hadith because as you know some things aren't that clear of unknowledgeable people like us. So, they do the hard job for us, and they get all the rules about the new stuff like tattoos, and other things that weren't directly mentioned..

I think having merjea is soo cool! Lool.. they get all the info I want..

I was thinking of getting the crescent moon and star on my shoulder (up to the neck) but i think it just makes a person look cheap. Allah tala has given me beautiful skin (Alhamdulilah), why take it for granted? You people should think about that.

Yes so then why ruin it with tattoos? Why cover it up with ink?

Ok now we have gotten way off subject here. This isn't really a debate section.
All Shia/Sunni debates have their own proper sections.

This is not the correct forum. I thought I was lost. I came into here and saw Shia vs Sunni bickering in the UNITED ISLAMIC CORNER. So we shall not talk bad about others and their Islamic views.
LS that means we wont tolerate the ways you have come about attacking the Shia faith.

wonderer please ignore such comments. Thank you for showing great character and not stooping down levels and jeopardizing your morals.

Now we will stay on subject. This member wants some help with a question. He also asked for proof. I have not witnessed much of this proof being given.

Thanks

I never agreed with the logic that piercings and dying hair are defroming the body even though i can understand why some people may say so. Piercings can heal themselvs and aren't permenant and you would know if you see a guy walking down the street that purple isn't his natural hair color. But i guess it all depends on you and your level of comfort. If you feel like you are doin something wrong just dnt do it.
