The pakistanis that i know are really religious Mash'Allaah and have nearly rejected everything from their culture except the food- which is AMAZING. heh biggrin.gif

pakiz are cool. i know quite some pakiz.

and my dad knows amazing pakis; Bhai Abdul Wahhab saheb, Junaid Jamshayd, Saeed Anwar, the whole cricket team, not to mention many other practising pakiz who aren't stuck to silly c ulture.

juan- Yeah there are similarities, some very good ones in terms of values, customs (like, extended families) and.... food, yes food - rotis/tortillas, spicy cuisine; loud music in wedding ceremonies (we have bhangra, i think u guys play music called banda?)

It's just that the official religion of both cultures is different (not like we lot adhered to it but it does shape the society to a degree, people mix in culture with religion way too much)

Yes we do have Banda. Banda Machos and Banda Maguey are two of my favorites.
I do agree with the mixing of religion and culture.

r u being serious? because i think that kind of crosses the line insulting Indians like that. all the closest people in my life r Indians and I love them all dearly and are the greatest. sad.gif it's really disgusting you could say such a thing if you were being serious, i sure hope you were kidding
