Well Teacher, please post the verses of the Qur'an where it talks about killling people and subjugation etc, and i will try to explain the context/explanation to you.

I guess the crux of the matter is i was extremely pi***** off at your manipulative posts since a certain professor at Uni was banging on about similar things to what you said, but he hey he got suspended. sucks for him

Anyway, the link I posted was a Fatawa from the Deobandi Scholars (i gather you have heard of them? no?) where they very recently released a Fatawa where they condemned terr orism and named it Haram, which it is. So although the majority of Muslims are sitting on there asses just going western and ignoring the current problems amongst Muslims, some Muslims are trying to make a difference.

You have a very distorted view of my religion, and i really hope i can change some of your misconceptions. I'm a not a silly person (i think not anyway) i don't blindly follow anything, i read, research and reason, and in everything i know in my religion there is wisdom and peace. Islam is not an oppressive religion; the times of the Prophet Muhammad has passed, and the Muslims today are either not acting upon the true Islam, or they are distorting it. if you want to know about Islam, study Islam not the Muslims.

You can do something productive instead of anger. Thats not being angry and not ignoring it. I haven't seen you post one source throughout your whole speech of justice and dead Muslims either. Nothing that supports your claim of 2 million directly or even indirectly killed by the U.S. Also, nothing for 2 million under McCain number.

Do your homework yourself... just make sure you add all the deaths from Gulf War 1 the sactions and Gulf War II to date..

Then if you want to add another million, you can add those who died in the Iran-Iraq war that we inspired, funded and directed...

I am not interested in educating you about the number of deaths, if it were one it would be too many...

I don't want to sound two faced, i wasn't exactly all calm and collected a few posts back, but there IS a way to talk/debate. Okay he insulted Islam (maybe he didn't mean to) but instead of flying into a temper and not getting over it, lets wait till he posts the verses then answer.
Yes many many of our Muslim brothers and sisters were killled, many non-Muslims have been killled too, and if you believe in God you'll know the God we believe is a Just God. Whatever he does he does with wisdom.

Obviously its awful when any Human is killled unjustly, whether he/she be a Muslim or not. But sometimes it hurts more when someone of your faith is killled unjustly.

We all want to do something to change the situation for our brethren in humanity. But when the majority of us don't do anything, we individuals who DO want to do something have to stick to other ways; prayer, which is the best in the eyes of God, peaceful campaigns etc. And if someone has a distorted view of the religion we have so much love for, i guess blowing our tops when we try to make them see sense isn't much use.

So don't lets have our emotions get the better of us, instead lets use our knowledge and put it to good use.

Qur'an:9:29 "Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission."

Ishaq:324 "He said, 'Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.'

Well...The quran is a book that provides the Guidelines of LIFE, which includes protecting it.

Islam comes from the 3arabic word for peace, but In order to preserve that peace, one most be willing to defend it.

I personally find it oddly hilarious that the verses you misquote come from the ninth Surah(chapter) of the Quran Roughly translated to mean, "The Forgiveness" ,
Which Lists the few terms on which a muslim must fight.

9:123 - "Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you."

Khalifa Translation
Surah 9, ayah 123
O you who believe, you shall fight the disbelievers who attack you - let them find you stern - and know that GOD is with the righteous.

9:29 And Fight those who have not faith in God, nor in the Hereafter, and (who) forbid not what God and His Prophet have forbidden and (who ) are not committed to the religion of truth, of those who have been brought the Book, until they pay tribute by hand, and they are the low.

I will ask you now that I have cleared up your horrible translations, that you know the meaning of the verses in context.
