Go to http://portableapps.com . They have so many things you dreamed of, ALL made portable so you can move it around and stuff.

This includes:
Instant Messanger for all clients
Open Office (like microsoft office)
Firefox
and so much more

can you put messengers etc on the drive and bring it to school or other limited internet places? will that work

Umm, i depends on your school filtering system. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

You could see if www.meebo.com is blocked or not. Thats an online chatting system that works pretty well.

Or if you want, you can use a circumventor to do it. Go to www.peacefire.org and sign up there
