Unanswered Prayers Options

When God doesn't answer your prayers, Like you keep praying to God, but ur life is getting worse and worse.. What would your reaction be??

Sometimes I get mad.. and be like God just hates me.. but when I'm in a good mood, I'll be like God just likes me to constantly pray coz he loves listening to me just a way to make me feel better..

There are many ahaadeeth on the subject, too many to list right now.

Imaam Ibn Al-Jawzi Rahimahullaah has a nice saying concerning it, he says:

You are not aware of the consequences that would result (if you were granted what you desire) because what you seek might be to your detriment. (O soul) be conscious that your Master is more aware about your well-being than you are.

There are times when people wish they would die or wish harm for other people. If god answers all our prayers then every second someone would drop dead simply because someone made a prayer for their death. Also people pray for crazy things, Allah [swt] tells us that he will not change our condition unless we begin changing within and then the rest is up to Allah [swt].

I just think: If it feels as though your prayers are going unanswered, perhaps it's because Allah has something better planned for you in the future. Another possibility is that Allah is slowly giving you what you desire. It could be that He sends struggles first as a test to you because He wants to forgive you of your sins and bring you closer to him. Also, it could be that your prayer isn't answered at all in this world and instead, you are rewarded greatly in the hereafter.

Whatever the outcome, Allah is most just and will certainly answer our good and pious prayers one way or another, inshaAllah. Ameen.

I don't think God answers prayers. I think God acts like a force of nature, and doesn't not care about us, but he doesn't get involved so we can create our own destinies.

I was born Lutheran, and most of my family is Lutheran (Missouri Synod), while I was raised Mormon with my mother and stepfather (my stepfather long-since divorced my mother but he's more of a father than my biological father). I was religious to a small extent, but mostly I was very young and lacked the ability to be truly religious and comprehend the concepts of the Mormon faith. However, if I hadn't broken away from the church around age 13, I think if my prayers were going unanswered, I'd feel abandoned. However, I don't think that way... but that's how I imagine I'd react.

the fruits of du’aa’ are guaranteed, even if you do not see the response with your own eyes. So think well of your Lord and say: Perhaps He has answered me in a way that I do not know. It is narrated in a saheeh report that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no Muslim who does not offer any du’aa’ in which there is no sin or severing of family ties but Allaah will give him one of three things in return: either He will answer his du’aa’ sooner, or he will store it up for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an equivalent evil away from him because of it.” They said: “We will say a lot of du’aa’.” He said: “Allaah is more generous.” Narrated by Ahmad, 10749. al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb: it is hasan saheeh.

knowing what is good for us is not within our power

what happens if we pray for something that is bad for us? do we expect God to answer it?

Allah answers prayers in His own time. At the time a prayer is asked, only Allah knows if He will grant it or if granted it would be good for us. I was always told never to offer selfish prayers, the Shaitan is just waiting to deceive you into think that the outcome is from Allah.

Or sometimes in our haste and limited understanding of prayers, we answer our own prayers out of ignorance and impatience of Allah's Divine Mercy.
