Hey all

Do you think it is possible to see an adopted or step child as if it's your own and love it as your own, in the same way you do with a child of your own flesh and blood.

I know there are many factors to this, but I want to see your point of view.

It is possible. If we look at an example ive seen Peter Andre treat Harvey as his own even though he isn't even his kid and he even wrote a song for him (unconditional) about unconditional love of course.

Oh yes, ot o svery possible to love a child that you didi not give birth to." a mother is a mother is a mother as the saying goes". Any mother would love a child regardless if it is their own. Yet there are those who do not like children and rather not be bothered regardless the situation the child is in.

Love knows no relations, it loves regardles!

Agreed, love can't be measured.
I think kids are far more perceptive of how they're treated as oppose to love in itself...and they measure the love of their parent according to how equally he/she is treated with the rest of the children. So as well as parents, it also depends on the receiving end. Some children are easier and quicker to bond with than others. Example: raising a child from the age of 2, is kind of different to raising one from the age of 10 or 13.

That is true..children after the age of 10 find it hard to relate to people unless they have been taught only abuse and hatred. A 10 year old can love as well if the right set of people are willing to give them a chance, be patient with them, and truly understand what the child has been through, then it is still possible to love that child.
