No soul has authority over another. Guidance and straying is a matter between God and you.

I believe in the death and resurrection of Christ, but do not believe him to be God or Son of God.

He is God's creation, created the way it is mentioned in the Quran. He is the Messiah (as mentioned in the Quran), a Prophet of God. However, I don't look at him as His slave, either. The Christ is the love of God Manifest -- the very heart of God. The suffering of Christ was real, and his suffering was the suffering of God. To empathize with His creation, God made Himself suffer, experienced the pain and agony that a human would, through the body of Christ.

Do you know anybody who holds a belief like the one stated above? If yes, could you share more of his or her beliefs, particularly the source for the belief? JazakAllah.

there is no god except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth and Lord of the noble Throne.

Good Morning!

Wow a muslim who believes Jesus died and was resurrected?!!

The issue for me as a Christian is that in the Bible Jesus claims to be God with his words, with his actions and he accepts the title from others. In the bible Jesus says:

'Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.' (John 14:9-12)

As a Christian I feel the bible is perfect and that God protects his word. It is a truly remarkable document. I challenge everyone to pick one up and read it.

In the Bible Jesus constantly quotes from the old Testament and he dilibrately fullfills prophercy from the Torah. The two testaments fit perfecty together and are a roaring lion. I don t need to defend the bible. God does that perfectly well without my help.

I do not know anyone who shares your beliefs but you could explore this online. Theres bound to be someone! biggrin.gif

I am going to put a few links in that might help you to understand Christian beliefs:

The Jesus film, The gospel of Luke, Please note this film ends with a Christian prayer at which you can switch off

At the time that I started this thread, my friend did not call herself a Muslim..and she still doesn't; however, over the last few months she seems less averse to the possibility that Prophet Jesus <s-Allah-ahwaah> neither died nor was (he) crucified.

There's this lady, Ann Holmes, who used to serve as a priest: she believes in the death and resurrection of the Christ but not that he is God or son of God. Ann calls herself both, a Christian and a Muslim, and was later deposed by her Church.

I haven't come across any organized creed resembling the beliefs that I outlined in my opening post, and so far it seems to be individual discretion at work.
