It's not a debate - just a personal observation I’d say.
Move it into the General babbling section.

This forum is meant to ask Muslims about Muslim questions, not debate.

Moved.

TRUE!!! - Mate

People often do not understand that we can have communication with God, the following is a true story. It happened in a city called brisbane, in Australia.

Prayer is a two way communication, it is us communicating with God, and him communicating back. As I was praying one morning, and just talking to God about who knows what I felt a feeling of God touching my chest area and saying "How would you like to be stabbed, in the valley." (The Valley was a very rough area of town in our city). I said to Jesus "Well I don't think I would really like that, I am scared of dying but I will go if it helps some one". After finishing work for Steve Tulk, my employer at the time. I then went down into the valley where I tried to help Aboriginals as the oportunity arose. Either buying a meal for them, or just trying to help them come to know Jesus. There must have been a meeting on at church that night, it was probably a friday. So I went up to an aboriginal man sitting on the bench with an older friend. I asked them both if they would like to go out to church, but I felt a drawing from God to talk to younger guy Simon, who was wearing a bandana. "He told me he no longer believed in God ... I am an athiest ... he said this is a confrontational and slightly agressive way ", but he was probably just not happy I was there, he turned out to be a lovely guy. He bagan to tell me "I don't believe in God any more, why would he let people suffer, I had to be put in hospital for months after I was stabbed by some syco in the Valley", by this time he had relaxed and was very friendly. He opened up his shirt and showed me scar marks, where the attacker had stabbed him with the knife. I asked God "Do i tell him or not?", but I felt a bit scared so did nothing, because I often fear or am unsure what to do. So I just hung around chatting to an aboriginal man, he was drunk so I could not get any good conversation out of him. I am sure he was lovely man but he was very pushy, he kept saying "Take Simon home for me", aboriginals have an eldership structure and so he was probably the elder or oldest one there at the time. I was unsure as always and said "So do you really want me to take you home? He was uncertain, probably becasue I was" But eventually we drove him home. That day he had had a little puppy die, and he was sad, that was why he was in the park. I tried to have as much simpathy for him as I knew how. And just told him sum God stuff as we drove, about a healing by prayer of a lady that had occurred in Tasmania. As We drove past the Marter hospital again I felt share with him about the vision you saw in the morning. Until that point simon had just listened patiently but not said much about the things I mentioned. I said "You know Simon I believe God really loves you, and understands what you went trough in that hospital.", I then shared with him what happened, "He suddenly became a little exited and said Really, in a happy tone". He taked for ages about his brother who was a believer, but had died young in an acident I think it was, he was unsure why it had to happen, so I tried to comfort him the best way I knew how. He mentioned how he once believed but was now just not sure about God, but his expectancy had increased.

So from time to time I would visit him, just hoping he would give his life back to Jesus, he said he also would have liked his kids out at church. He decided to come out to church. He was sitting with my friend John Serentak, who I knew was a good guy, so I just sat a few rows back and watched and prayed for him to get saved. He was listening to the preaching of th ehead minister; who spoke about receiving Jesus, starting a new life by receiving Jesus, that Jesus would come and live on the inside of the those who would believe he could forgive all his sin. Simon Murray got up walked to the front of the church and gave his life back to Jesus. Go's presence filled him so much so he fell down onto the floor. Simon then received a bible and a gift pack, which he proudly displayed to me on the way out. Because my car had michanical problems John my friend, and Simon went home with a lovely friendly young girl from the church. I contacted Simon a few times to see how he was going, one day I rang and he was listening to christian music, I though I will not bother him any more I will just let him live his life, he had also mentioned at one point he had a Christian relative.

There you go one story.....

He did it again, and again

So the question is has God ever spoken to you. If not keep seeking and you willl find him. He has spoken at times through others in the church to me. Often you can tell when God wants some thing when he repeats him self over and over again. At one point in my life God sent 13 people on 13 separate occassions (different places different people), from 4-5 different churches in two different states to give me just one verse from the bible, he repeated him self so many timesI knew it came from him. And at times I could feel the presence of God on it, meaning instinctively I knew God was speaking. They knew nothing about me, and did not know each other. The verse was, "I know the thoughts I think toward you says the LORD for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope." One person I did know who said it was my own brother who is a minsiter in church we have a very honest relationship, others were people that he has never even seen or ever even aware exists. As an example there was one lady I did not even know, she was having buscuits with me down the back of a different church, and just said, "I get this feeling God is wanting to benift you", "you know like the verse in the bible 'I know the thoughts I think toward you for good and not evil'", I still do not know who the lady was.
