and Hi everyone
Gents - if you got married, what would you expect from your wife? Would you allow her independence, if so, to what extent? And should she match your personality, or someone who is compatible with your personality - or don't you mind what her personality is because that will be a chance for you to learn something new and diverse from the spouse?
Ladies, if you got married, same question as above, except, would you mind if you would have to give up some of your independence? And is it really important for you to marry someone that will get along with your personality type?
While we're at it, take this personality type test and tell us your results:

Obviously you cant live with someone that hates the things you love. Personality differences are fine but there should be a ground for commonality.

i would expect everything from her that she expects from me - full 50/50 partnership.
or course id allow her independence - whatever extent she feels she needs. why would it be otherwise
in a perfect world we should compliment each others personality, or atleast be able to handle each others personalities lol----if you arent compatible then why would you even get married in the 1st place.......

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.aspWell I am married, and it is a adventure. Communication is the key. Independence gosh I don't remember what that means anymore. It's like it doesn't feel restrictive, but we are more like interdependent. Not CO-dependent but inter-dependent on each other.
Still think about what would I do if it all fell apart, right now I think I would pick up and move to Algeria, if the US would give me a passport, and I don't think they would. So I would take my last paycheck and go to REI and buy all the survial gear I could and head to the mountains and not come back..

INFJs are gentle, caring, complex and highly intuitive individuals. Artistic and creative, they live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities. Only one percent of the population has an INFJ Personality Type, making it the most rare of all the types.

These are all very interesting results. Going back to my original question, I wouldn't want to give up a good sense of independence nor do I expect a spouse to give up his rightful independence too... Having said that, I prefer we can identify with each other's personalities yet have a really strong contrast because it provides a challenge and in turn a way of learning to complement each other based on the differences in lifestyle, thoughts and ideas. What I'd never do is marry someone exactly like me or very much like myself personality-wise. However, a person completely different to who I am to the extent of being the total opposite I would definitely find awkward and incompatible. Note - there's a big difference between what a personality is and what a person's character is.

While we're at it, take this personality type test and tell us your results:
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.aspIf I got married, I'll expect for a loyal, responsible and loving husband. But, most importantly, he is pious enough to guide me to a right path. If I expect for a match personality with me, I don't think our marriage will be cheerful. There are no diversity in the marriage. and I know it will be a bored marriage ever. I don't mind if I give up from my independence as husband is the one to be respect. I confident he know what he's doing and why he do that for me.
