Due to the harshness and criticism that ignorant members of the Muslim Ummah, in addition to the hypocrites, display towards our Mujahideen brothers around the world today, this article will be based on the following narration of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allaah upon him:
From Asma’ bint Yazid
, who said: The Prophet (SAAS) said: “Whoever defends his brother’s honour in his absence, will be entitled to Allah’s protection from the Fire.”[Ahmad et al. It is Sahih because of corroborating and similar reports. See Ghayah al-Maram (431).]
It is sad to witness the Muslim Ummah being ignorant about their Mujahideen brothers in the Path of Allah today around the world, causing them to join the ideology of the disbelievers in their war against them. This contradicts the commands of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, who said:
“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.”
[Surah al-Fath Aayah 29]
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has Himself bore witness concerning the Mujahideen, and has revealed such to Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah upon him:
“There will never seize to exist a group from my Ummah, fighting for the decree of Allaah over-powering their enemy, they will not be harmed by those who oppose them, until the hour approaches them and they are upon it (i.e. fighting for the truth).”
[Saheeh Muslim]
“…And a party of my Ummah will remain fighting on the true path and Allah will deviate the hearts of some men and Allah will provide the fighters from them until the final hour starts and the promise of Allah is fulfilled and good is on the foreheads of horses until the day of Judgment…”
[Narrated by Imam al Nasa’i and is hasan]
Allaahu Akbar! Who could dare slander the Mujaahideen after such knowledge has been made clear to them except the extremists among the defeatists, the disbelievers and hypocrites? They continue to speak out against the leaders of Jihaad today such as Sheikh Usaamah bin Laadin, Ayman al-Zawaahiree, Mullah Muhammad ‘Umar (Ameer al-Mo’mineen in Afghanistan), Abu ‘Umar al-Baghdaadee (Ameer al-Mo’mineen in Iraq); in addition to those who died in the battlefield such as Aboo Mus’ab al-Zarqaawee, Mullah Dadullaah, and Shamil Basayev, may Allah have mercy on them all.
A great lie that is made towards the Mujahideen in the path of Allah, is that they are fighting and killing Muslims by waging Jihaad against the apostate government armies and police force (for example, the Taliban against Karzai’s Afghanistan regime and Pakistan’s Musharraf regime). Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has shown clearly the two camps of belief and disbelief and has commanded the believing camp to fight their opponents, as Allah said:
“Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allâh, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Tâghűt (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitân (Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitân (Satan).”
[Surah al-Nisaa' Ayah 76]
Thus, whoever fights with the apostate rulers of the Muslim nations, aiding the Crusader alliance and maintaining the democratic law, is a disbeliever and is to be fought against by the sincere Mujahideen.
Another great slander against the Mujahideen is that they are targetting and killing innocent Muslim civilians in their Jihaad operations. If one were to look at the time of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allaah upon him, we would see that in the Battle of Badr, some Muslims from Makkah were killed by the Sahaabah, may Allah be pleased with them. Why is this? The reason is because these Muslims from Makkah refused to make Hijrah away from the polytheists to Madeenah, and while remaining oppressed among them were forced to come out and fight against Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allaah upon him, and his followers. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, revealed the following concerning those Muslims who remained among the disbelievers:
“Verily! As for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): “In what (condition) were you?” They reply: “We were weak and oppressed on earth.” They (angels) say: “Was not the earth of Allâh spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?” Such men will find their abode in Hell - What an evil destination!”
[Surah al-Nisaa' Aayah 97]
Thus, Allah has shown us that in this particular situation the Mujahideen are not in sin for their Jihad operations, but those who remain among the disbelievers and are killed as a result are the wrongdoers! The Muslims who live amongst the areas which are captured by the disbelievers should migrate to the Mujahideen and the places of Sharee’ah being established, in order to save themselves from the Wrath of Allah, the Most High.
The Lions of Allaah have roared and their bullets are guided by Allaah, Glorified and Exalted is He, piercing the hearts of the enemy aggressors who have transgressed all bounds against the Muslim Ummah and the religion of Islaam. They are prepared to sacrifice skull, bone and blood to establish the religion of Allaah through the Sharee’ah, and defend the oppressed among men, women and children. Those Muslims who oppose them only do so out of mutual jealousy, and their opposition will only become a burden upon themselves. O Ummah of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allaah upon him, if you do not join your brothers on the fields of Jihaad, then know that Allaah, Glorified and Exalted and Exalted is He, will fulfill His Law:
“O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islâm), Allâh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allâh, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allâh is All­Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All­Knower.”
[Surah al-Maa'idah Aayah 54]
The words of Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allaah have mercy on him, will conclude the reality of the Mujahideen in the Path of Allaah…
“Know, may Allāh reform you, that it has been confirmed from many sources that the Prophet, sallallāhu`alayhī wassallam, said: [i]‘There will never seize to exist a group from my Ummah, fighting for the decree of Allāh over-powering their enemy, they will not be harmed by those who oppose them, until the hour approaches them and they are upon it (i.e. fighting for the truth).’ (Sahīh Muslim) So this difficult situation divides the people into three types:[/i]
The first type is the Victorious Party and they are the Mujāhidīn against the evil people.
The second type is the Opposing Party, who make clear their opposition to Islām.
The third type is the Treacherous Party, and they are the ones who sit back from Jihād, even if their Islām is correct.
So let every man chose whether he will be with the Victorious Party or the Opposing Party or the Treacherous Party, and there is no fourth type.”
