sl.gif all,

I want to go on a day trip to either Manchester or London but dunno which to choose. So which do u lot think is better? I've never been to manc, and have been very briefly to london (does heathrow airport count? lol)

Remember its only for a day...Help me out guys please..Which is worth seeing? Or if you have any other suggestions, i just need to get out of Birmingham for a day...

Both are good depending on what you're expecting. London is culturally wonderful - it's big and chaotic though from what I remember. We drove straight into central London, so it was Hyde Park, Kensington Garden etc - all of these places made it a cool day out, we managed to get home by the evening. It's generally more expensive than it is in Manchester. However, some areas are less chaotic than others - you'll have to plan your spot if you decide to go London.

Manchester is more laid back and I'll recommend it for a day out (away from Birmingham). I think with Manchester you'll experience more as compared to London where you'll probably see more. That was the case for me anyhu.

Are you going with friends, sis?

There are not enough hours in a day to go visit London. You need like at least a week to proper enjoy yourself there.

Manchester is great for a day out IMO.

SURE! Great idea Umar...if she wants to spend exactly 10 minutes at each attraction she'll be back home before midnight!

What genius..
respecta
oh i forgot

going around the trafford centre can be done within 2.3seconds,
FOOL
whereas thorpe park she can spend the whole day

and in london use the trains, and you'll get places quick

like say you start off at oxford street, spend an hour there, move to regent's park (it's 10mins away), then go harrods! thats also 10mins away

all these places are close by

we have the best transport service tongue.gif
blessing
it takes half an hour to get to a place right next door, what you on about?

You still don't make sense.
