I think it's ironic that he was there to boast about and speak of the "success" of his wars in Muslim countries, when the victory of the enemy (i.e the soldiers of Allah Ta'ala) was staring him right in the face.
This really also shows how bad the war of hearts and minds is going for the Kuffar. Why else, if it wasn't failing, would an 'Iraaqi journalist (who may not even be a practicing Muslim) throw a shoe at Bush's head? For those unfamiliar with Arab/Iraqi culture, throwing a shoe at someone is comparable to throwing crap. =) lol

One police officer saw one of the guards smack his eye with a gun, apparently doctors have said if its damaged any more he could lose his site.

Insh'Allah Muntadhar az-Zaydi (Fakkallaahu 'Asrah, Ameen) will be released soon. I think this has awoken the Iraqi people to the evil of their government which is helping the occupiers, and we cannot predict the plan of Allah, but Allah Ta'ala has a reason for everything, and there is surely a reason for the stir the detainment of this journalist is causing.
