I study in singapore and I have non-muslim friends. I naturally meet a lot of non-muslim people too.

My concern is that all non-muslims, well, don't wash after they use the washroom... and some dont even wash their hands. And many a times, I do come in contact with my friends and have handshakes with people. I try washing my hands if I do but it gets inconvenient at times.

So should I be concerned about this? Am I being too conscious? Is there any kind of teaching regarding this in the quran or hadith?

Thank you.

just keep the sanitizer in ur pocket or bag and keep using.. just for germs.. coz u do wdua before every prayer and the cleans u up.. I didn't here abt any other rulings in the matter

They don't?! That's just nasty. Really I'd probably say something. Not as a religious injunction but just: "dude, you're gonna get some gross disease if you don't wash your hands".

If there not Muslim will Qur'an or Hadith matter to them. You have to say something it's your duty and your well being. Try "cleanliness is next to godliness".

I'm with Brammal, try to explain how filthy it is.
