My daughter Rasha (the girl in my avatar pic) was born with a genetic kindey condition called unilateral hydronephrosis. They knew she had it when I was getting a standard ultrasound done in my 9th month of pregnancy. Recently in April of this year her kidney became blocked and was severely swollen. She under went major surgery where we traveled out of state and the doctor removed part of the ureter (the tube coming from the kidney and into the bladder) and they had to remove part of her kidney as well due to the severe swelling. She had been doing fine since the surgery (although her kidney function had dropped to 20%-30%. unsure.gif But today she has started complaining of backpain again, and has not been eating well, but drinking alot (the same symptoms she presented with before we found out her kidney was blocked.) My daughter is only 3 and cannot yet understand what is wrong with her (we have to protect her from falls or rough housing with her brother to try and prevent kidney damage to her one healthy kidney). I fear that her kidney may be blocked again, and I will have to call the specialist this week if the back pain continues. crying_anim.gif

For those of you who are curious here is a web page telling you about my daughters illness: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydronephrosis Thank you everyone! heart.gif

Will remember her in my duas as well. And nanorobots (the field I'm working in) will cure everything (well most things) in the future!

Thank you all for remebering my daughter (I hope it is a loooooong time before she loses her kidney all together which eventually will happen). I think the saying is true:The greatest pain a mother can feel is when her child is sick and there is nothing she can do to help them. It horrible to not be able to make the back pain go away, especially when it's a 3 year old asking "Mommy kiss it and make it better" crying_anim02.gif I would kiss her a billion times if it could make it better. I have prayed alot for her in her short life. Thank you again! wub.gif

I would give both of you a warm hug if I could; Rasha will be in a dua of mine for sure. I'm sorry she has to go through this =(

May Allah give her health. Ameen.

Tell your husband to recite the first chapter of Quran for her, it is good for healing. God willingly, her health will improve. inshaAllah.
