Well one worst thing about them is cameras! gawd the cameraman is up people's noses every 10 seconds, even when they're eating. No wonder I haven't been to a wedding in AGES, and i'm being serious.

I second that! Asian weddings do bring out that bright and colorful atmosphere. Put free mixing and all haram stuff aside, then asian weddings are fun.

omg when i was 12 and went to kashmir/pakistan or whatever, i was being forced to attend about 4 weddings, BUT I WAS REBELLING BAD WAYS, i sooo didn't want to go to any wedding there caz everyone just stares! on top of that the camera doesn't give anyone a break, ALWAYS UP UR NOSE!

yeah in asian weddings food is like one of the biggest reasons to attend, but the reason why i hardly attend is caz of the cameraman!

WAY RIGHT sis, way to right! actually i run off with with chutney aswell!! lolz i dot like weddings we hardly ever go . the only reason we go is if i put some effort in like mum CUM ON LETS GO, and that only happens if its in a awsum RESTAURANT lolz, oh my sis is wedding in pKISTAN was a night mare......half the wedding day had gone and my clothes were locked up in the trunk and my mum was to busy 'grieving' over my sis leaving lol so i was walking aroun serving food in my night clothes at around 45 degrees, it turned out one of thw worst days in pakistan whoooo wara day!

omg wen i was 14 years old, i was forced to go to this borin wedding, oh it was sooooo boring, all they were doin is feeding the bride and groom matai! i was like, whats this, competition of who puts on more weight on their wedding day !
but yeah there was food and all, but people were dying to feed the bride and groom matai...i was like, im outta here and my mum and dad ran out with me, that was a relief! and it was in bradford btw! haha

Nah !!! she dont live in palistan dude! i told ya about her in sis section remember! 2 nieces...lol anyhoo yeah modest saira woooo, then after finally my mum got the clothes out yh everyone just stared at me like, she changed NOW? just before ma sis sat in the Dolee thing and then I WAS LITERALLY DRAGGED TO this chair, the chair was put in the middle of the garden thing all the people around me and then....in came the guy lol i mean bruva law and i was like AAAAARGH why have i been put here? and they go you have to get money off him, I WAS LIKE WHAAAAAAAAAT? then all the ladies shouting at me GET MORE THAN A 1000 rs and i was so EMBARASSED! in the end i got 500 rs and ran off lol never again...........

Once i was watching my friend's wedding video (she got hitched in pakistan)...so in the beginning this old molvi type of guy came to read something and in the end everyone started giving him money and he was tryna act all modest and like 'oh u shudn't have, but i'll tke it anyway' but he was grinning as though he really did enjoy taking money off the people.
I was like 'mum, what is this guy doing, isn't he suppose to make du'aa, unconditionally for the bride and groom' jeeez.

omg ive been to like 5 weddings in paki and its like hell and its defintely diffrent from american weddings cuz american weddings are simple while paki weddings are soooooooooooooo complicated!!! all u do in a wending is stand and eat while ppl get photograped all the time while u cant even eat in peace or talk to the groom/bride cuz they like getting swarmed by cameras as if they are movie stars + the bride goes to the wedding as if it is a funeral for no damn reasons which is stupid and in weddings ure supposed to smile while all the bride does is cry as if her dad and mom have died the same day!!!

LOL so true! man once we went to this pakistani wedding and the girl just cried...and...cried...and...cried....and.cried....and...cired....and...cried...and...cried when finally i told her to shut up, but she didnt understand seen as i was speaking english.....when shareen gets wedded yeah shez guna cry with joy haha

the worst wedding- Asians tend to over do everything. My cousins wedding this year she decided to give each guest crystal trinkets. each box we carried had 200 of them in there. So we had like 10 boxes. Stupid guy didnt hold the box properly when he was taking them out the car and the whole box just fell and there was pieces everywhere on the road. so we were 200 short man people complained. her camera man was ok though.. he didnt stick the camera in peoples faces.
another wedding.. my cousin bros car broke down so he borrowed his brothers which ended up being the same as the bride and grooms car. So people were coming to my cousins care instead of the newly weds.. hah that was hilarious. Thank god i havent been forced to do silly stuff.
yeh the crying thing annoys me.. like people bawl their eyes out when they are going to see the girl the next day.. i just dont like it when the brides dad cries. but yeh.. wedding cakes never taste nice.. out of all the weddings the only cake that tasted nice was my bros wedding cake.

Weddings in Pakistan are so annoying.. last time I went my cousin was getting married.. the cameraman was soooooo annoying... all everyone wanted to do is sit with the bride and groom and take pictures ... too many pervs around.. and to top it off somone stole my money .. ... and to this day im wondering why i took money to the wedding.. what was I going to buy??

you know what i h8 about asian weddings? all these freaking old women coming over and grilling me, then saying ' my son is sooo goodlooking, you would suit' or ' my grandson is a doctor....very high wage.....would you ....?'
until i'd like to scream: ' tell your freaking son to find a wife himself if hes so goodlooking! and don't compliment me on my fair skin you racist cow! and ALSO don't be nosy! and AAAlso, only my mums indian'

which is why when i go to an asian wedding, i'll wear like a black sorceress style black fishtail skirt suit (different styles, designs but black) and apparently that makes me look reaaally snobby and un approachable, so they stay away. and also no one else wears black to weddings so thats another thing i enjoy.

all the oldies who just come to weddings to gobble the food and criticize things. over the top deco and spending thousands on a theme thats just tacky and wanna be wealthy looking. get a grip; go elegant and simple and unique and gorgeous, not the most expensive, tackiest stuff you can get.

i never wear proper clothes to weddings. i wear jilbab all the time a nice one though. Amongst all the colourful people i am the easiest to spot cuz i am in black from head to toe.
But yeh i hate photographers and sometimes the groom has to come and sit with his wife. like go away dude you have your whole life with her now go back to the guys area you silly fool!:P

and then in some weddings all these old buddhis go and stuff mithai in the bride and grooms face, poor things, i would scare them so badly if they tried to do that to me.

every culture is different lol i had to wear a vile covering my face 1 week towards my wedding and on my mehndi ... and on my wedding day my hubby has to be the first to look at my face in the mirror .. they place it infront of us on the weddin day lift my scaff and tell him to look at me, lol .

hei, asian wedding is not that boring. In my country, it was really nice. that is the day i go to help my neighbour to prepare for the feast! it's like helping out each other. Usually in rural areas, we will bring some rice , sugar or egg, thats mean the brie father didnt hav to spend much for the feast. we will hav the 'kompang'. of course only some certain groom and bride groom will take pictures, its only an option.My sister was married to a chinese man( a muslim) and the celebration is more glam. its was the chinese-Malay wdding celebration. Where there are fireworks, lion dance, silat and kompang. It was relly colourful and i was really hapy onthat multi-racial wedding ceremony. I was been foce to play my violin in front of the audience. i feel quite scared, but everything had been ok. thanks to god and all of my villagers people

Well, at Malaysia, there are a lot of best things instead of worst thing about our wedding. Every one will gather and cooperating to make the wedding preparation. Usually, Malaysian wedding will be held on Friday after Jumaah prayer. I'm sure I'll make an essay if I written about it. For me, there are nothing worst about Malaysian wedding. I don't ever miss one of them if I've been fetched.
